Baka a.k.a Paboya updates: Bear with me, this is a LONG one.
Ok, i must seriously be the slack-est person in my freakin' level of LSCT students.
I should be chiong-ing if not sleeping coz' i had too much medicine (due to toothache and "ALMOST" nasty surgery) and YET, i am blogging. Yes, it has been quite a day, and i'd like to share it with u nice people...
Morning started at 9am, everything was well... slept a wonderful 8 hours with darned dreams interrupting fantastic brain recharge a couple times during sleep. Nontheless, had a sumptous breakfast at Mac's at IMM with dear mom, before heading to 2 banks at Bukit Batok to do some necessary banking stuff. Then, headed to mom's office at around 11.30 and finally got my arse some place to do Math.
About an hour into Math, i had lunch. yummy "mee-sua" with fish slices. Superbly mouth-watering and healthy, but perhaps too much sodium. Whatever. I like salty stuff.
After lunch sped off like "Speedy gonzales" and headed to NDC for braces check-up. Dr Mimi Yow, my doctor in charge, was pretty much delighted by my teeth adjustment, until she saw my wisdom tooth. Correction, wisdom teeth - all 4, not just 1. Damn those teeth who takes up a darned lot of space and each costing more than 100 bucks to remove, i was told by my doctor that the reason why i had a toothache was because there was no room for my wisdom teeth to grow and i have to extract them. OH GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME, ALL 4? And my mom thought by having braces my teeth would be perfect. Hah, i think not. Went for a X-ray after that and Dr Yow arranged simple extraction for my lower left wisdom teeth the very same day. Hrmph, glad but hey, tomorrow is my exam for crying out loud! Right. Anyway she transferred me to Dr Danny Tan. Very nice person. Very.
When Dr Danny Tan saw me, the first thing he said (after saying Hi Amanda, have a seat) was :"How old are you?" Hmmm... what a way to start a conversation. I said :"gona be 20 this year" and he was smiling... cute doctor, but hmm. not my type. Then he rubbed some whitish paste on my wisdom tooth and was going to procede with my extracttion when he again asked :"So, are you studying now?" My reply was:" Yea, in fact tomorrow i'm having exams".
Well i'll be damned. He jumped up and shouted:" Abort! Abort! Abort!" Like there was a missile going to be fired and he had to abort the mission. Well it was a pretty shocking thing to me, cause half my mouth was numb and i was staring at him dumbfounded by his sudden outburst. Later he explained to me that it wasn't worth it, to risk my exams for my teeth. I could reschedule it anytime and he would do it for me again. Awww... boy i was touched! *^_^*
Well... to think i was going to be able to reach home ASAP but then along the way back to the MRT i was accosted by this surveyor, who very persuasively asked me about Banks and savings... GAWD, i just can't refuse anyone can i? Hmm.. even though i was already walking away, he caught up and eventually managed to stop me and boy, not for 2 mins... it was for the next 15 mins i think.
Growing up and going through so many modules and presentations has made me realise how all these experiences come in handy when i speak to a stranger. Strangely i used to reply really shyly (yes, i CAN be shy) or i would simply just nod and then get my arse away ASAP but now it seems i was actually striking a conversation with him. And no, i wasn't hitting on him if you guys happen to think that direction. Well anyways, i'm finally home now and really drowsy and groggy but i still gotta do my math. so, until perhaps exams are over and when i'm in UK i'll update again.
